6th
Trinidad & Tobago KO Drugs Games
Trinidad
and Tobago held its Sixth World Boxing Association Knock Out Drugs Games
on 10th March 2001 at the Five Rivers Junior Secondary School.
Special
greetings were given to Ms Noryoli Gil, who represented the President of
the World Boxing Association, Dr Gilberto Mendoza.
After
the welcome address by Dr Calvin Inalsingh, Woman Police Constable Charles
of the Trinidad and Tobago Narcotics Squad gave a presentation on the
abuse of illegal drugs.
At
the end of the formal part of the program, the Games were declared open
and the children then competed in the games of table tennis and football
and at the end of which the winners received their rewards. As a token of
appreciation, all participants received gifts and WBA T-shirts. The
President of the Chess Association was present and organized a
demonstration for the participants.
A
Pro/Am Boxing card was held in the evening at the Woodbrook Youth Centre
to bring the curtains down on the Sixth Trinidad and Tobago World Boxing
Association Knock Out Drug Games 2001. I wish to thank Richford
Productions for their contribution in promoting this event, which was
attended by Ms Noryoli Gil.
Once
again, I wish to thank President Mendoza for his support, which made these
Games a success.
