Gilberto J. Mendoza and Don King visit Mosquera

April 6, 2008 - World Boxing Association (WBA) Executive Vice President Gilberto Mendoza and promoter Don King made a visit on Saturday to former WBA Super Featherweight champion Vicente “El Loco” Mosquera at the El Renacer Prison in Panama, where the boxer is detained since September 2006.

Mendoza and King visited Mosquera along with the boxer’s manager Rogelio Espiño and had a nice chat not only with the former champion but also with the rest of the inmates, who celebrated having such famous characters around.

Mosquera is accused of a homicide occurred in very confusing circumstances and is being held at the El Renacer Prison until a verdict is reached.
