June 22, 2008 - Last night in Copenhagen, Denmark, Galina Koleva Ivanova won the WBC, GBU and the vacant WBA Featherweight title, by defeating Anita Christensen. The judges scored the fight 98-91, 97-93 & 100-89. Anita Christensen was knocked down in the 4th round.
The other female bout of the evening saw Vinni Skovgaard win the European (EBU) Light Welterweight championship fight against Cornelia Zimmer of Germany. The fight was scored 98-92, 98-92 & 99-92. |
