Mathis crushes Pascal!
By Christian Chataignier
March 9, 2008 - Super lightweight Anne Sophie Mathis of France (30 years old, 18-1, 16 KOs) became quadruple world champion stopping Panamanian Anna Pascal (40 years old, 11-1, 5 KO) by TKO3 Saturday night at the Palais des Sports de Saint Symphorien Metz, France. Already WBA and WBIF champion, Mathis added the UBC and WBC belts with the win.

After an initial round where nothing happened, Pascal was quickly overwhelmed.

In the second round, an uppercut to face sent the Panamanian down. A few moments later she suffered another knockdown with a blow to the body.

When the third round began, it was clear that the end was near, and after a new series blows from Mathis, the referee stopped the fight.
